ต่อจาก Nikkor Z 180-600 f/5.6-6.3 VR และ Nikkor Z 135 f/1.8 S “Plena” เลนส์ใหม่ที่เป็นกระแสร้อน ๆ ไป ก็อยากแนะนำตัวนี้ครับ 85 ตัวแรก ๆ ของอนุกรม Z ปกติแล้วผมแทบไม่เคยได้ใช้งานเลนส์ช่วง 85mm เลย สมัยก่อนเคยมี 85 f1.8 USM ของแคนอนใช้สมัยสิบกว่าปีที่แล้วอยู่ตัวหนึ่ง แล้วก็พบว่าแทบไม่ได้ใช้มันเท่าไร เลยไม่ได้สนใจเลนส์ช่วงนี้อีก ตอนนั้นไปไหนมาไหนกับ 24-70 f2.8 ตัวเดียวเที่ยวไปทั่ว และต่อมาก็ไปสนุกกับช่วง 35mm และ 50mm ที่มันใช้งานได้อเนกประสงค์มากกว่าจนเลยเถิดไปเล่น range finder จนมีเก็บไว้หลายตัว แต่พอช่วงหลังหวนกลับมาให้ความสำคัญกับกล้องออโต้โฟกัสเนื่องจากต้องใช้งานมากขึ้นแล้วไปเจอเจ้าเลนส์ตัวนี้ขายมือสองสภาพดีมาก ๆ อยู่ราวสองหมื่นกว่าบาทเลยหยิบติดมือกลับบ้านมาใช้ด้วย สุดท้ายมันกลายเป็นเลนส์ที่ติดกล้องทั้ง Z6ii และ Zf ไปไหนมาไหนค่อนข้างบ่อย เพราะมันเบาและสว่าง

Following the Nikkor Z 180-600 f/5.6-6.3 VR and Nikkor Z 135 f/1.8 S "Plena," the new lens that's gaining a lot of attention, I'd like to introduce this one: the 85mm, one of the first lenses in the Z lineup. Normally, I hardly ever used an 85mm lens before. Back in the day, I had a Canon 85 f1.8 USM, which I used over a decade ago. Then, I found that I hardly used it at all, so I lost interest in this focal length. At that time, I was going everywhere with just one 24-70 f2.8 lens, traveling extensively. Then, I got into enjoying the 35mm and 50mm focal lengths, which were more versatile for me, to the extent that I ended up playing with range finders and collecting several of them. But later on, I returned to prioritizing autofocus cameras because I needed to use them more frequently. That's when I stumbled upon this lens being sold secondhand, in very good condition, for around twenty thousand baht. So, I decided to pick it up and bring it home to use. In the end, it became a lens that I often attach to both my Z6ii and Zf cameras because it's lightweight and bright.

เลนส์ Z ของ Nikon โดยเฉพาะเลนส์อนุกรม S-line เอามาใช้งานแล้วต้องขอชื่นชมในเรื่องของการไล่สี และการเก็บรายละเอียดส่วนสว่างของภาพ ความเห็นส่วนตัวผมถือว่าทำได้ดีมาก ๆ ในเลนส์ระดับนี้เลย (ถึงได้แปะ S-line พ่วงมาด้วย) ทำให้เมื่อใช้งานแล้วผมพุ่งเป้ามาที่เลนส์ S-line กลุ่มราคาถูกเลยครับ ไลน์นี้ คุณภาพดี ราคาเบา น้ำหนักก็เบาครับ ขออนุญาตแนะนำเพื่อนพี่น้องกันไว้ตรงนี้ว่า เลนส์ f กว้าง ๆ หลังละลายเยอะ ๆ ไม่ได้แปลว่าดีเสมอไปนะครับ และมันไม่ได้แปลว่าจะทำให้ได้ภาพสวยเสมอไปด้วย หากถ่ายภาพมาเยอะ ๆ แล้วได้พินิจพิจารณาภาพที่ถ่ายมา ถ้าไม่นับเรื่ององค์ประกอบศิลป์ คุณจะให้คุณค่าของภาพจากการไล่สีสัน โทนของภาพ ความเป็นธรรมชาติ มากกว่าการละลายฉากหลัง สมัยเล่นกล้องแรก ๆ ก็ไม่เคยเข้าใจ คิดว่าการหรี่รูรับแสงลงจะทำเพื่อการควบคุมระยะชัดลึกเท่านั้น แต่จริง ๆ แล้วมันมีผลต่อโทนของภาพด้วย อย่างไรก็ตามเทคโนโลยีของเลนส์สมัยนี้พัฒนาอย่างก้าวกระโดดไปมาก ผมเองก็ไม่ได้ติดตามอย่างใกล้ชิด จึงเชื่อว่าหลายต่อหลายค่ายน่าจะทำของดี ๆ ออกมาอีกมากครับ และหวังว่าคงหันมาพัฒนาเรื่องโทนและสีของภาพกันอย่างจริงจังมากขึ้น

Nikon's Z lenses, especially those in the S-line series, deserve praise for their color rendition and ability to capture bright details. In my personal opinion, they perform exceptionally well in this lens category (hence the additional "S-line" designation). When using them, I find myself gravitating towards the more affordable S-line lenses. This lineup offers excellent quality, lightweight build, and affordability. Allow me to recommend to my fellow photographers here that having a wide aperture lens doesn't always translate to consistent quality or beautiful images. Shooting extensively and then critically evaluating the results allows you to appreciate image color rendition and tones more than just blurring the background. In my early days of photography, I didn't fully understand why controlling light with a narrow aperture was important beyond depth of field. However, it significantly affects the image's tones as well. Nevertheless, lens technology has made significant strides. Although I haven't closely followed these advancements, I believe many companies are producing excellent products. Hopefully, there will be more focus on developing image tones and colors as well.

เลนส์ทางยาวโฟกัสเดี่ยวของ Nikkor กลุ่ม f1.8 นี้ออกแบบมาหน้าตาแทบจะเหมือนกันทุกตัว เรียบง่าย วงแหวนสำหรับ Manual focus วงเดียว เซาะร่องให้จับหมุนถนัด ไม่ได้ใช้ยาง ตรงนี้ผมไม่ชอบเพราะร่องที่เซาะมามันแคบมากจนทำให้เศษฝุ่น เศษอะไรสกปรกเข้าไปติดได้ง่ายและทำความสะอาดยากครับ (ยางก็บ่น ไม่ยางก็บ่น แต่มันออกแบบให้พอดี ๆ ได้อยู่นา) นอกจากนี้ก็มีสวิตช์ A/M จบแล้ว เลนส์ตัวนี้มากับฮูดทรงกระบอก เรียบง่ายอีกเช่นกัน เก็บทรงดอกไม้ไว้สำหรับของแพงกว่า มันก็เป็นแบบนี้มาตั้งแต่ไหนแต่ไร กลุ่ม f1.8 นี้ มีตั้งแต่ 20, 24, 35, 50, และ 85 มม. Nikkor Z 85 f/1.8 S ออกมานานแล้วครับ เปิดตัวมาตั้งแต่ปี 2019 หลังจากเปิดตัวอนุกรม Z ได้ไม่นาน สมัยนั้น S-line ยังเป็นตัวอักษรเล็ก ๆ เป็นแผ่นแปะอยู่ข้างเลนส์อยู่เลย นิคอนนี่เล่นออกเลนส์รุ่นประหยัดมาก่อนในช่วงแรกให้คนเปลี่ยนมาใช้ Z กันได้ง่าย ๆ แล้วปีหลัง ๆ มานี่ออกแต่ตัวมาราคาโหด ๆ ทั้งนั้น และสมัยนี้กล้องจากทุกค่ายพร้อมใจกันขายแพงงงงงงงง

Nikkor's prime lenses in the f/1.8 group are designed to look almost identical. They are sleek and simple, with a single ring for manual focus. The grooves on the ring provide a good grip for rotation, but I don't like it because the narrow grooves make it easy for dust or dirt to get stuck, making cleaning difficult (whether it's rubber or not, there's always a complaint). Additionally, it has an A/M switch. This lens comes with a barrel-shaped hood, keeping it simple yet sophisticated. This design has been consistent throughout the f/1.8 group, including the 20, 24, 35, 50, and 85mm lenses. The Nikkor Z 85 f/1.8 S has been around since 2019, shortly after the Z series was introduced. At that time, the S-line logo was still a small batch that was attached to the lens. Nikon initially released budget-friendly lenses to make it easy for people to switch to the Z series, but later on, they started releasing expensive lenses. Nowadays, cameras from all brands are being sold at high prices.

โฟกัส (Focusing)

เรื่องนี้ผมว่าแทบไม่ต้องพูดถึง เพราะระบบโฟกัสของกล้องสมัยนี้มันฉลาดและหลากหลายมาก ๆ โดยเฉพาะหากใช้เลนส์ระยะนี้มันค่อนข้างเฉพาะทางแล้ว เป็นเทเลโฟโต้ช่วงต้น ส่วนมากมักจะมีตัวแบบที่ชัดเจน เอาที่เจอบ่อย ๆ เลยก็คนนั่นแหละครับ เจอแบบนี้โฟกัสง่ายมาก จับตา จิกตา เป๊ะมาก ระบบออโต้โฟกัสไม่ค่อยพลาด แตกต่างจากพวกเลนส์มุมกว้างที่เก็บวัตถุได้หลายอย่าง อันนี้บางครั้งอาจมีงง ๆ บ้างเหมือนกัน

This is something I hardly need to mention because the autofocus system of cameras nowadays is very intelligent and versatile. When using lenses in this focal range. Most of the time, they have clear, distinct subjects, so when you encounter one, it's usually the same scenario. With this kind of setup, focusing is very easy. Just glance, and it's locked. The autofocus system rarely misses. This is different from wide-angle lenses that capture multiple subjects. Sometimes, this can be a bit confusing.

คุณภาพของภาพ (Image quality)

หมดความกังวลเรื่องความคมไปได้เลย เพราะถ่ายเทียบกันมาแล้วระหว่าง Nikkor Z 85 f/1.8 S กับ Nikkor Z 135 f/1.8 S “Plena” ดูด้วยตาบอกได้เลยว่าพอ ๆ กัน ถ้าถ่ายเจ้า 85 ได้ในระยะ sweet point จะสวยมาก ภาพจะมีความเด้งดึงน่าสนใจมากทีเดียวครับ เลนส์ประเภทนี้ รีวิวกันแบบใช้งานจริงมันพูดอะไรมากไม่ค่อยได้ มันดีไปหมดแหละครับ ไม่ใช่เลนส์ที่มีคาแรกเตอร์ชัดเจนแบบเลนส์เก่าที่เรา ๆ เล่นกัน

There is no need to worry about sharpness anymore because when comparing the Nikkor Z 85 f/1.8 S and the Nikkor Z 135 f/1.8 S "Plena," you can tell with your eyes that they are almost equal. If you capture with the 85 at its sweet spot, the images will be incredibly beautiful, with a 3D pop. My real-usage reviews of lenses in this category often don't say much because they're just so good. They're not like older manual focus lenses with outstanding characteristics that we're used to playing with.

สรุป (Summary)

เลนส์ Z f1.8 S ทั้งอนุกรมเป็นเลนส์ที่เล็กและเบา พกพาง่าย ถึงแม้ว่าประสิทธิภาพการละลายหลังจะไม่ได้ทำลายล้างแบบพวก 1.4 หรือ 1.2 แต่ผมว่ามันเป็นมิตรทั้งเงินและน้ำหนักครับ ขึ้นชื่อว่า S-line ไม่ว่าปีใหม่ ปีเก่า ราคาแพงหรือถูก เท่าที่ได้ลองใช้ผมว่าดีหมดเลย เอาจริง ๆ ขออนุญาตแนะนำส่วนตัวว่า ถ้าไม่ใช่เลนส์ S-line อย่าไปคบ เก็บเงินอีกหน่อยแล้วจัดทีเดียวจบดีกว่าครับ ไม่ว่าจะฟิกซ์กลุ่ม f1.8 หรือซูมกลุ่ม f4 ผมว่าใช้ได้ พกง่ายใช้สะดวกด้วย พวกฟิกซ์กลุ่ม 1.2 หรือซูมกลุ่ม 2.8 มันหนักและแพงเกินไป๊... สวัสดี (ทำเป็นพูด เดี๋ยวก็ไป 1.2 กับ 2.8 คอยดู)

The Z f/1.8 S lenses across the lineup are compact and lightweight, making them easy to carry. Although their resolution performance may not rival that of f/1.4 or f/1.2 lenses, I find them friendly in terms of both cost and weight. Being labeled as S-line, whether new or old, expensive or affordable, from my experience, they're all excellent. Honestly, let me personally recommend that if it's not an S-line lens, don't bother. Save up a bit more and just go for it. Whether it's a prime f/1.8 or a zoom f/4, I find them practical and convenient. As for the f/1.2 primes or f/2.8 zooms, they're too heavy and expensive. (Pz. I'm pretending to speak, but I will eventually go for the 1.2 and 2.8 lenses.)
