สวัสดีครับ ผมได้ Leica M11 มาครอบครองแล้วครับ เฮ..... กล้องดิจิทัลรุ่นล่าสุดจากไลก้า ได้ลองเล่นลองถ่ายไปพอสมควรแล้วจึงอยากมาแชร์ว่ามันมีข้อดี ข้อจำกัดอะไร ลองมานั่งคุยกันครับว่ามันคุ้มค่าพอจะให้จับจองมาเป็นเจ้าของกันไหม เขียนไปเขียนมารีวิวนี้อาจยาวหน่อยนะครับ พยายามแยกไว้ให้เป็นหัวข้อ ๆ และเขียนให้รวบรัดเพราะมีประเด็นเยอะจริง ๆ สำหรับกล้องรุ่นนี้ครับ

Hello! I've acquired the Leica M11. Huh... the latest digital camera from Leica. I've had the chance to play around with it and take some shots, and now I'd like to share its pros, cons, and whether it's worth considering as your next purchase. This review might be a bit long as I'll try to cover various aspects and keep it concise due to the numerous points to discuss about this camera model.

1. หลังจากที่เขียนรีวิว Leica M10 ไปเมื่อหลายปีก่อน (https://paronya.wixsite.com/paronya/single-post/2018/06/15/leica-m10) ว่าเป็นการก้าวกระโดดทางการออกแบบ Leica M ที่ปรับขนาดของกล้องมาอยู่ในร่องในรอย ไม่อ้วน หนาใหญ่อีกต่อไปแล้ว มาถึง Leica M11 งานออกแบบขนาดของกล้องภายนอกจึงนิ่งแล้ว แทบไม่เปลี่ยนเลยครับ เพราะฉะนั้นการจับถือ ขนาด หลายท่านคงได้ทดลองกับ Leica M10 กันมาบ้างแล้ว ก็ต้องบอกว่าไม่แตกต่าง สิ่งที่ต่างกันคือตำแหน่งของไฟ LED แสดงสถานะ ย้ายไปอยู่เป็นจุดเล็ก ๆ ตรงเป็นควบคุมด้านขวาและอีกดวงทางด้านล่างของกล้อง ซึ่งเป็นการออกแบบที่ใส่ใจรายละเอียดดี ใช้แล้วไฟไม่แยงตา ปุ่ม fn ปุ่มเมนู และเพลทล่างของกล้อง แสดงให้เห็นว่าภาพรวมของกล้องที่เหมือนเดิมคือดีแล้ว (?) และตรงรายละเอียดเล็ก ๆ น้อย ๆ ที่ยังไม่ดี ก็ออกแบบแก้ไขเสียใหม่ แปลว่าเขาคิดนะ ไม่ได้ก๊อปปี้ M10 มาทั้งดุ้น ถ้าอีกหน่อยทำอะไร ๆ ได้เล็กกว่านี้แล้วได้เห็นกล้องไลก้าดิจิทัลในร่างของ Leica III ก็คงจะน่าสนใจไม่น้อย

1.After writing the review of the Leica M10 several years ago (https://paronya.wixsite.com/paronya/single-post/2018/06/15/leica-m10), stating that it was a leap in Leica M design, with the camera size fitting snugly in the frame, no longer bulky, the Leica M11 follows suit in terms of exterior design. It's almost unchanged. Hence, for those who have tried holding the Leica M10, there won't be much difference. The only noticeable change is the position of the LED status indicator, which has been moved to a small spot for better control, located on the right side and another one at the bottom of the camera. This is a thoughtful design detail as it prevents the light from glaring. The fn button, menu button, and the bottom plate of the camera all indicate that the overall appearance of the camera remains excellent (?), and any minor imperfections from the M10 have been addressed. In other words, they didn't just copy the M10 entirely. If they continue making improvements like this, maybe we'll see Leica digital cameras in the body of a Leica III, which would be quite intriguing.

2. ความน่ารักของกล้องไลก้าตั้งแต่ M10 เป็นต้นมาคือไม่มีตัวอักษร M ใหญ่ ๆ อยู่ด้านหน้ากล้องแล้ว สลักไว้แค่ตัวเล็ก ๆ ที่ฮอตชู ผมว่าแค่นี้พอแล้วครับ หล่อแล้ว สวยแล้ว ลงตัวแล้ว กล้องดิจิทัลเดี๋ยวก็เก่าไม่ต้องโชว์มากก็ได้ ^_^

2.The charm of Leica cameras since the M10 has been the absence of large "M" letters on the front of the camera, with only small engravings located discreetly at the hot shoe. I think just this much is sufficient. It's handsome, beautiful, and understated. Digital cameras don't need to show off too much to be impressive. ^_^

3. ด้านล่างของกล้องที่ว่าได้รับการออกแบบใหม่ทั้งหมดคือ Bottom plate ที่สุดแสนคลาสสิกได้จากเราไปเรียบร้อย ด้านล่างของกล้องเปิดออกไม่ได้อีกต่อไป หลายคนชอบ เพราะสะดวก แบตเตอรี่ ก็เอาออกง่ายเหมือนพวก SL ส่วน SD card ก็เก็บไว้ในช่องเดียวกัน ส่วนคนที่ไม่ชอบก็คงเป็นเรื่องอารมณ์และความรู้สึกคลาสสิกของกล้อง ส่วนตัวผมว่าตรงนี้ก็ดีนะครับ มันถึงเวลาที่ M จะก้าวต่อไปข้างหน้าและปรับตัวเข้ากับยุคสมัย โดยเอาข้อดีของการใส่แบตเตอรี่แบบไม่ต้องเปิดฝาของพวก SL มาใช้ แต่ส่วนที่ผมว่าจุดที่ยังไม่ดีก็มีเหมือนกันคือ ถ้าตูดกล้องมันถลอกเละเทะจากการใช้งาน หาอะไหล่มาเปลี่ยนให้มันใหม่เอี่ยมไม่ได้นะเออ และเรื่องสำคัญคือ port USB-C ที่มันเป็นรูโล้น ๆ แบบนั้น มันเก็บฝุ่นเก็บความชื้น กล้องมันจะกลายเป็นกล้องสำอางค์ไป จะมาลุคช่างภาพสงครามแบบสมัยก่อนคงไม่น่ารอด

3.The completely redesigned bottom plate of the camera is where Leica has truly embraced classic elegance. The bottom of the camera no longer opens up. Many people like this because it's convenient; the battery can be easily removed, similar to the SL series. As for the SD card, it's stored in the same slot. Those who don't like it might be more attached to the classic feel of the camera. Personally, I think this aspect is good. It's time for the M series to move forward and adapt to modern times by incorporating the advantages of the SL series' battery compartment design. However, one downside I see is that if the camera's base gets scratched or worn out from use, it might be difficult to find replacement parts to make it look new again. And the important issue is the USB-C port; being exposed like that, it will collect dust and moisture. The camera might end up looking like an artifact. It probably wouldn't survive the rough treatment that cameras endured in the past during wartime photography.

4. Oh, there's an official Leica half case available for sale under the name "Protection case." It feels like Leica, but it reminded me of Apple.

5. ผิวสัมผัสตัวกล้อง สาก หยาบ ไม่ได้ใกล้เคียงกับคำว่า Black paint finish ที่เขียนข้างกล่องเลยครับ แต่ไลก้าเคลมว่ามีเทคนิคป้องกันร่องรอยการขูดขีดขนแมวได้ดี ส่วนตัวผมว่าผิวมันค่อนข้างคล้ายกับตัว M10 reporter มาก ๆ แค่คนละสีเท่านั้น อันนี้ก็ต้องลองใช้กันต่อไปครับ แค่คิดว่าถ้ากันรอยได้เจ๋งจริงก็อย่าทำ Protection case มาขายสิครับ ฮ่ะ ๆ ๆ แล้วถามว่าซื้อไหมไอ้เคสอันนั้นน่ะ อ่อ... ก็ซื้อสิครับ ฮ่ะ ๆ ๆ เคสหนังชิ้นเดียวราคาห้าหลัก ทำกล้องให้หนักและใหญ่ขึ้น ทำไมมันดูย้อนแย้งกับที่เขียน ๆ มายังไงชอบกล

5. The texture of the camera body is rough and not quite like the "Black paint finish" written on the box. However, Leica claims to have a technique to prevent scratches and marks effectively. Personally, I find the texture quite similar to the M10 reporter body, just with a different color. I'll have to continue using it to see how it holds up. But I can't help thinking, if it really does a great job in preventing scratches, why bother selling a "Protection case"? Haha! And then you ask, "Will you buy that case?" Um... yeah, I probably will. Haha! Buying a leather case priced in the five digits (Thai Baht) just makes the camera heavier and bulkier. How does that align with what was written? Anyway, I like it.

6. ปุ่มหมุนปรับ ISO ผมยังขอคงความเห็นเดิมจาก M10 เลยนะครับว่าควรออกแบบกายภาพใหม่ให้ตอบรับกับ ISO ที่ดันไปได้สูง ๆ ให้ได้มากกว่านี้ M11 มีให้เลือกหมุนแค่ 64 200 400 800 1600 3200 6400 M และ A ส่วนที่เกิน 6400 ขึ้นไปต้องไปปรับเอาในเมนูแทน ซึ่งผมมองว่าไม่เรียล ไม่มีสัจจะของการออกแบบระบบกลไกครับ ทีมออกแบบน่าจะพิจารณาทบทวนแล้วหานวัตกรรมใหม่ ๆ มาให้ M ได้แล้วอย่ายึดติดกับรูปลักษณ์เดิม ๆ ให้มากนัก

6. I'd like to maintain my original opinion from the M10 regarding the ISO adjustment dial. I believe it should be redesigned to accommodate higher ISO values more conveniently. With the M11, you can only adjust it up to ISO 6400 directly on the dial, with options for 64, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400, M, and A. For ISO values above 6400, you have to adjust them in the menu instead, which I find unrealistic. It lacks the mechanical essence of design. The design team should reconsider and innovate to provide new solutions for the M series, rather than sticking to the same appearance.

7. ปุ่ม Fn ย้ายจากด้านหน้ามาไว้ด้านบนเหมือน M60 ผมสะดวกมากเลยเพราะชิน ส่วนตัวผมว่าทำให้กล้องดูเรียบร้อยมากขึ้นกว่า M10 นะครับ ส่วนใครชอบแบบเดิมอันนี้ก็แล้วแต่รสนิยมส่วนบุคคลครับ

7. The Fn button has been moved from the front to the top, similar to the M60. I find it much more convenient because it feels natural. Personally, I think it makes the camera look much neater compared to the M10. However, for those who prefer the old design, it's just a matter of personal preference.

8. สายคล้องคอที่แถมมาเป็นสายหนัง อันนี้ตามธรรมเนียม เก็บไว้เหมือนเดิมนั่นแหละครับ หน้าตามันดูดีอยู่นะแต่ไม่ได้ใช้ ฮ่ะ ๆ ๆ

8. The leather neck strap that comes as an accessory is traditional. I'll keep it stored away like before. It looks good, but I don't actually use it. Haha!

9. น้ำหนัก เรื่องนี้สำคัญนัก ผมเลือก Leica M11 สีดำมาเพราะน้ำหนักที่เบากว่าอย่างเห็นได้ชัด ห้อยคอนาน ๆ ได้ สบายมาก ๆ (Leica M11 ทำสีเงินกับดำออกมาด้วยวัสดุที่แตกต่างกัน สีเงิน Top plate จะเป็นทองเหลืองแบบดั้งเดิม คลาสสิก หนัก (640g) ส่วนสีดำจะเป็นอลูมิเนียมทำให้น้ำหนักเบากว่ามาก (530g)) บางคนคิดว่าขีดเดียวเองจะอะไรหนักหนา แต่เมื่อได้ลองจับจริง ๆ แล้วมันต่างกันมากพอสมควรเลยครับ เอ้า เบาแล้วข้อดีข้อเสียของมันก็มีอยู่นะ กล้องเบา ๆ เอาไปใช้กับเลนส์หนัก ๆ เช่นผมเอาไปติดกับ Summilux 1.4/35 FLE edition 60 ที่เป็นสเตนเลสทั้งดุ้น มันหนักหน้าไปเลยใช้แล้วไม่ค่อยสมดุลไม่ค่อยถูกใจ ถอดเลนส์นอนตู้ไปเรียบร้อย แต่ถ้าใช้กับเลนส์เล็ก ๆ พวก Summicron หรือเลนส์เก่า ๆ นี่โอ้โห สวรรค์ ครับ เบา มันส์ ห้อยคอไปไหนได้สบาย ๆ (ถ้าไม่เจอโจร)

9. Weight is important. I chose the Leica M11 in black because it's noticeably lighter. It hangs comfortably around the neck for extended periods, which is very comfortable. (Leica M11 comes in silver and black with different materials. The silver version has a classic brass top plate (640g), while the black one is made of aluminum, making it much lighter (530g)). Some people may think it's just a matter of a few grams, but when you actually hold it, the difference is significant. Lighter cameras have their pros and cons. A lightweight camera paired with heavy lenses, like my Summilux 1.4/35 FLE edition 60, made of stainless steel, feels unbalanced and uncomfortable. So, I keep such lenses in the cabinet. But with small lenses like Summicron or older lenses, oh, it's heavenly. Lightweight and fun. It hangs around the neck comfortably (if you don't encounter any thieves).

10. เมนู ขอแตะ ๆ ไว้นิดนึงว่ารูปแบบของปุ่มและเมนู เหมือนกับพวก SL2 และ SL2-S เลยครับ ใครที่คุ้นเคยอยู่แล้วสบายใจใช้ง่ายแน่นอน ส่วนคนที่ไม่คุ้นเคยก็ยังสามารถทำความเข้าใจได้ไม่ยากครับ

10. The menu and button layout is somewhat similar to the SL2 and SL2-S models. Those who are already familiar with them will find it easy and comfortable to use. As for those who aren't familiar, it shouldn't be too difficult to understand.

11. แบตเตอรี่ของ Leica M11 นี่ รักเลยครับ ขนาดเดิม ๆ 1800 mAh เท่ากับ M10 และ M(240) แต่อึดกว่ามาก ๆ สมัยก่อนที่ผมไม่ได้ตกลงปลงใจไปกับ M10 เพราะเรื่องแบตเตอรี่หมดไวก็เป็นส่วนหนึ่ง เคยใช้กล้องไร้จอมาแล้วแบตมันอึดถึกทนมาก ๆ ใช้งานกันได้นานจนลืม ซึ่งตรงนี้ M11 ทำได้ดีมาก ๆ นะครับใช้ได้นานขึ้นมากจนรู้สึกสบาย ๆ ไม่ต้องกังวลเรื่องแบตจะหมดกลางคันหรือจะต้องมีแบตสำรองแต่อย่างใด ถือว่าพอใจมากครับ และที่ชาร์จแบตก็น่ารักน่าชัง ขนาดไม่ใหญ่โต วางแล้วเอาแบตเสียบ เสร็จ สวยงามเหมาะสม แถมฉุกเฉินก็ยังชาร์จด้วย USB-C ได้อีกด้วย เอา ๆ ดี ๆ

11. The battery of the Leica M11 is impressive. It retains the same 1800 mAh capacity as the M10 and M (Typ 240), but it's much more robust. In the past, I hesitated with the M10 due to battery life concerns. I've used cameras without screens before, and their batteries lasted a long time. I could use them for extended periods without worrying about them running out. This aspect of the M11 is greatly improved. The battery life is significantly longer, making me feel much more comfortable. I don't have to worry about the battery running out in the middle of a shoot or carrying spare batteries. I'm very satisfied. Additionally, the battery charger is compact and elegant. It's not bulky, and it looks beautiful when the battery is inserted. Moreover, it can also be charged via USB-C, which is convenient for emergencies. Overall, it's excellent.

12. ประเด็นเรื่อง M11 ที่สามารถถ่ายภาพได้ความละเอียดถึง 60 MP จะมีผลเวลาใช้กับเลนส์เก่า ๆ ของไลก้าหรือไม่ ประเด็นนี้ผมเชื่อว่าโดยรวมไม่ได้มีผลเสียกับภาพเลยครับ ในการใช้งานภาพขนาดใหญ่มาก ๆ ยิ่งเซนเซอร์ละเอียดก็ยิ่งดี ถ้าใช้งานภาพที่เล็กลงมาอย่างน้อยที่สุดก็ไม่แย่ลงกว่าเซนเซอร์ที่มีความละเอียดน้อย (ไม่นับรวมเรื่องจุดรบกวนในภาพที่มีมากน้อยไม่เท่ากันใน ISO สูง ๆ) เจ้า M11 นี่ผมได้ลองแล้วกับเลนส์ที่เก่าสุดเท่าที่มีและราคาถูกสุดด้วย คือ Leica Summaron 3.5/35 ที่ออกสู่ตลาดตั้งแต่ปี 1948 ภาพที่ถ่ายออกมายังคมกริ๊บ เชื่อแล้วว่าสิ่งที่ไลก้าเคยพูดเมื่อ 10 ปีก่อนว่าไม่จำเป็นต้องออกเลนส์อนุกรมใหม่สำหรับกล้องดิจิทัลเพราะเลนส์เก่า ๆ ของไลก้ามีกำลังแยกขยายเหลือเฟือเป็นเรื่องจริง วันนี้พิสูจน์แล้วที่ 60 MP ยังสามารถใช้งานได้สบาย ๆ ครับ หายห่วง ส่วนเลนส์บางตัวหรือเลนส์จากค่ายอื่น ๆ ที่คาแรกเตอร์ที่ f กว้างสุดไม่คมนัก ภาพขนาดใหญ่เมื่อดูในจอปกติย่อมไม่ต่างกัน แต่มันจะฟ้องเมื่อซูม 100% ไม่คมคือไม่คมแบบเห็นได้ชัด ถามว่าจะมีปัญหากับการใช้งานอะไรไหม ถ้าถ่ายมาแล้วใช้ภาพขนาดเดิมเลยผมว่าไม่มีปัญหาอะไร แต่ถ้านำภาพนั้นมา Crop เพื่อไปใช้งานต่อจะเห็นความไม่คมชัดเป็นปัญหาที่จะเกิดขึ้นได้แน่นอนครับ (แต่อย่างไรก็ยังให้คุณภาพดีกว่าถ่ายภาพด้วยเซนเซอร์ที่ละเอียดน้อยแล้วมาครอปอีกอยู่ดี)

12. The fact that the Leica M11 can capture images up to 60 MP resolution doesn't significantly affect its compatibility with older Leica lenses. Overall, using high-resolution sensors with large megapixel counts is advantageous when working with very detailed images. Even when downsizing the images to smaller resolutions, there is no noticeable decrease in quality compared to sensors with lower resolutions (excluding issues such as noise in high ISO settings). I've personally tested the M11 with the oldest and cheapest lens available, the Leica Summaron 3.5/35, which has been on the market since 1948, and the resulting images are still sharp and crisp. This proves that what Leica mentioned ten years ago about not needing new lenses for digital cameras because older Leica lenses still have resolving power is indeed true. Today, it's evident that even with 60 MP, older lenses can comfortably be used. However, for some lenses or lenses from other manufacturers with the widest aperture not being very sharp, there might not be much difference when viewing the images on a normal screen. However, when zooming in to 100%, the lack of sharpness becomes noticeable. So, will there be any problems in practical use? If you shoot and use the images at their original size, there shouldn't be any issues. However, if you crop the images for further use, the lack of sharpness might become a problem (but still better than shooting with a sensor with lower resolution and then cropping).

13. ยกตัวอย่างให้ดูกับเลนส์ไลก้ารุ่นใหม่ ๆ หน่อย ความคม กำลังแยกขยายมันเหลือ ๆ ครับ ผมลองเอา Summilux 1.4/35 FLE edition 60 มาถ่ายที่ 60 MP แล้วเอาเข้า Lightroom เพื่อ Enhance ให้เป็น 120 MP จากนั้นจึงครอปมาให้เหลือ 16 MP ภาพยังถือว่าใช้ได้เลย (ถ้าโฟกัสเข้าตรงจุดที่ต้องการ)

13. Let me give you an example with some of the newer Leica lenses. The sharpness and resolving power are still outstanding. I tried using the Summilux 1.4/35 FLE edition 60 to shoot at 60 MP, then brought it into Lightroom to enhance it to 120 MP. After cropping it down to 16 MP, the image is still usable (if focused precisely on the desired point).

14. คุณภาพของภาพ Leica M11 นั้นเรื่องความคมชัดคงไม่ต้องพูดถึงกันแล้วเพราะขึ้นอยู่กับเลนส์ที่เอามาใช้ละครับว่าไปได้ไกลแค่ไหน ส่วนเรื่องคาแรกเตอร์ และสีสันของภาพต้องมาพูดกันยาวหน่อย ลักษณะเด่นของ M11 ที่สังเกตได้ตั้งแต่เร่ิมใช้งานเลยคือ ภาพกลับมาอมเหลือง หลายสำนักกล่าวตรงกันว่าออกไปคล้าย typ(240) ไม่ได้ออกอมฟ้าเหมือน M10 ตรงนี้หลายคนชอบ หลายคนไม่ชอบ ผมใช้ SL2-S ด้วยจะพบว่าภาพจาก SL2-S จะเป็นแนวคล้าย M10 คือภาพดูสมัยใหม่เหมือนกล้องยี่ห้ออื่น ๆ คือติดอมฟ้านิด ๆ ภาพมันสวยครับ ถ่ายอะไรก็เด้งดีไปหมด แต่ถ้าภาพออกมาทางเหลืองได้หน่อยภาพจะดูสีสันเป็นธรรมชาติมากขึ้น อย่างไรก็ตามส่วนตัวผมว่า M11 บางทีก็เหลืองมากไป๊ เหลืองจนแตกต่างจากภาพจริง ๆ ที่ตาเห็นพอสมควร (แล้วแต่เลนส์ที่ใช้ด้วยนะครับ) แล้วมันก็ปรับอะไรเกี่ยวกับโทนพวกนี้ไม่ได้เสียด้วย จะไปปรับชดเชยที่ AWB ก็ไม่มี ตรงนี้ต้องไปลองถ่ายกันดูเองครับว่าชอบหรือไม่ชอบ ส่วนตัวผมว่า M60 สุดที่รักยังให้ภาพที่สีสันถูกใจผมมากกว่า ทั้งนี้ผมยังไม่ได้ลอง Leica M11 กับเลนส์หลากหลายรุ่นนะครับ มีอยู่แค่ไหนก็ลองไปแค่นั้น เข้าใจว่าคาแรกเตอร์ตรงนี้ก็คงปรับเปลี่ยนไปตามเลนส์พอควร นอกจากนี้เท่าที่ลองใช้มายังพบอาการ WB แกว่ง ๆ อยู่บ้างเฉพาะเวลาถ่ายภาพภายในอาคาร แต่ถ้าถ่ายในแสงธรรมชาติ WB ก็ตรงกันเป๊ะทุกภาพ เรียบร้อยดีไม่มีปัญหาอะไร

14. The quality of images from the Leica M11 doesn't need much discussion when it comes to sharpness because it depends on the lens used and how far it can go. As for color rendering and contrast in the images, that's something we can discuss at length. One prominent characteristic of the M11 noticed since the beginning of its use is that the images tend to have a return to a more yellowish tone. Many have stated that it resembles the Typ(240) and doesn't produce the blueish tint like the M10. Some like this aspect, while others don't. In my experience with the SL2-S, I've noticed that the images from it are similar to those from the M10, meaning they have a more modern look and just a hint of blue. The images look beautiful and handle various scenarios well, but if they come out slightly yellow, they might appear less natural. However, in my opinion, sometimes the M11 tends to be too yellow. It's yellow to the extent that it differs from the real colors observed by the eye (depending on the lens used, of course). Additionally, there isn't much you can do to adjust these tones. Trying to compensate with auto white balance (AWB) adjustments doesn't help much either. This aspect is something you'll have to try out yourself to see if you like it or not. Personally, I still prefer the color rendering from the beloved M60 the most. However, I haven't tried the Leica M11 with various lenses yet. I've only tried it with a few, so my understanding is limited. I understand that the color rendering might change according to the lens used. Moreover, from my experience, I've noticed some WB inconsistency, especially when shooting indoors. But when shooting in natural light, the WB is consistently accurate without any issues.

Dynamic range เป็นอีกส่วนหนึ่งที่น่าประทับใจเช่นเคย ถ้าสายแต่งภาพทำรูป กล้องไลก้ารุ่นหลังจาก M(240) มาแล้วผมว่าเล่นได้หมดนะครับ RAW file ของมันเก็บรายละเอียดได้ดี ดึงภาพขึ้นมาเยอะ ๆ สีไม่เพี้ยน M10 M11 ใช้ได้หมดครับ อย่างที่เคยรีวิวไว้เรื่อง M10 ว่าดึงภาพขึ้นมา 5 stop ยังให้สีสันที่ตรงเป๊ะ ไม่เพี้ยน ไม่มีสีเขียวปน ไม่มี banding M11 ก็ยิ่งต้องทำได้ดีกว่า เรียกว่าถ้าเป็นคนขี้เกียจถ่ายและขยันทำภาพก็กดมั่ว ๆ มาได้เลยโฟกัสเข้าเป็นพอ แล้วค่อยมาแก้ไขในคอมพ์เอา

15. Dynamic range is another impressive aspect as usual. If you're a photo editing enthusiast, you can pretty much play around with Leica cameras starting from the M(240) onwards. I find that the RAW files retain details exceptionally well, allowing for significant image recovery. The colors remain accurate without distortion. With the M10 and M11, you can use them to their fullest extent. As previously reviewed with the M10, pulling up the image by 5 stops still retains accurate colors without distortion, green tint, or banding. The M11 is expected to perform even better in this regard. So, if you're someone who's lazy to shoot but diligent in post-processing, you can shoot recklessly, focus adequately, and then fine-tune everything on the computer afterward.

16. The Leica M11 allows you the freedom to choose whether to capture in DNG at sizes L, M, or S, and/or JPG at sizes L, M, or S, utilizing the full sensor area. You can achieve exceptional images just like before, without any cropping. Leica has done an excellent job in this aspect, offering great flexibility. However, there may be noticeable differences in the characteristics of the images obtained from DNG and JPG files. Some JPG images may appear more polished because of the higher contrast achieved by the camera, while images from DNG files may have more natural and vibrant colors (which may be good or bad depending on the situation). DNG files offer better flexibility in post-processing, allowing for more precise adjustments to skin tones and maintaining natural sharpness. This aspect allows for experimentation to find one's preferred style.

17. The Leica M11 can adjust ISO up to a maximum of 50000. However, in terms of managing noise at high ISO, I believe it doesn't quite match up to the Leica SL2-S. The SL2-S seems to handle noise better, possibly due to its lower resolution sensor at 24 MP compared to the M11's 60 MP sensor. The smaller pixel pitch and higher resolution of the M11's sensor may result in more heat accumulation within the system, leading to increased noise at high ISO levels like 50000. At ISO 50000, you may notice banding and a significant amount of color noise with the M11, which is different from the experience with the M10. While the M10 also had noticeable noise at ISO 50000, it typically didn't exhibit as much color noise. In this aspect, the M10 seems to perform better. If you have both cameras, I would recommend conducting side-by-side comparisons to observe the differences firsthand.

18. Therefore, selecting lower image quality settings such as M (36MP) and S (16MP) from the original size of L (60MP) does not necessarily guarantee optimal noise management. It's disappointing indeed that the noise levels remain unchanged. If the software were more sophisticated, it should ideally perform better in this aspect. It's regrettable indeed.

20. อีกประเด็นที่พบใน M11 แล้วน่ารำคาญใจคือกล้องมีอาการ Shutter shock ด้วยนะครับ หากถ่ายภาพในโหมดชัตเตอร์กลไกช่วงความไวชัตเตอร์ประมาณ 1/60-1/80 ภาพจะไม่คมกริ๊บ เหมือนมีการสั่นไหวหน่อย ๆ ซึ่งเกิดจากแรงสั่นสะเทือนของการเปิดม่านชัตเตอร์ชุดแรก (First curtain) กล้องสมัยก่อนที่ลองเล่นบางตัวก็เป็นนะครับ เช่น Leica SL (601) แต่ตอนใช้ SL2-S ไม่พบปัญหาดังกล่าวเพราะน่าจะมีระบบที่ใช้แต่ม่านชัตเตอร์ชุดหลังได้ ก็เลยวางใจไม่คิดว่าจะมาเจอใน M11 ซึ่งเป็นกล้องราคาแพงม๊าก แต่มาเจอกรณีแบบนี้ก็ต้องถ่ายให้ระวัง ๆ กันหน่อยละครับ เข้าใจว่า M11 ใช้เซนเซอร์ในการวัดแสงตลอดเวลา (เวลาเปิดเครื่องถึงแม้ว่าจะใช้การถ่ายด้วย RF แต่จะได้ยินเสียงเปิดม่านเสมือนถ่ายด้วย LV หรือ EVF ทุกครั้ง) เพราะฉะนั้นตอนถ่ายภาพด้วยระบบชัตเตอร์แบบกลไก มันจะต้องมีการปิด-เปิด-ปิด-เปิดม่านชัตเตอร์เพื่อกลับมาสู่สภาพเดิมทำให้เกิดการสั่นน้อย ๆ ที่เซนเซอร์ได้ในบางความไวชัตเตอร์ที่เลือกใช้ ตรงนี้เป็นจุดที่กล้องยี่ห้อต่าง ๆ ไม่เคยออกมาพูดถึง นักรีวิวต่าง ๆ ไม่เคยพูดถึงกันมาแต่ไหนแต่ไรครับ ตรงนี้ขออนุญาตยังไม่ฟันธง เพราะบางกรณีก็ไม่เกิด บางกรณีก็เกิดที่ความไวชัตเตอร์ดังกล่าว ต้องไปลองดูกันเอาเองนะครับ

20. Another issue encountered with the M11 that can be quite annoying is the presence of shutter shock. When taking photos in the shutter priority mode with a shutter speed ranging from around 1/60 to 1/80, the images may not be as sharp, resembling a slight vibration. This is caused by the vibrations from the opening of the first curtain shutter. Some older cameras, such as the Leica SL (601), also experienced this issue, but it was not observed with the SL2-S, presumably due to a system that utilizes the rear curtain shutter. Therefore, encountering such cases with the M11, despite being a significantly expensive camera, is unexpected. However, if faced with this situation, one should proceed with caution. It is understood that the M11 continuously utilizes the sensor for light metering (even when the camera is turned on, although it uses rangefinder shooting). Consequently, when taking photos using the mechanical shutter system, there is a need for the shutter curtains to open and close repeatedly to return to their original state, causing slight vibrations in certain selected shutter speeds. This is a point that has not been widely discussed by various camera brands or reviewers. Therefore, I refrain from making a definitive statement as it may not occur in all cases. It's essential to try and see for oneself.

21. For those who prefer to solely use electronic shutters, it's important to be cautious when photographing fast-moving subjects and indoors. The classic limitations still exist. However, when using an electronic shutter, photographers may not immediately realize that the camera has taken the shot because it's silent and doesn't make any noise. You simply press the shutter button, and the camera captures the image without any lingering sound or sensation.

However, I did notice that when using the electronic shutter, there was slightly more overexposure, typically around 0.3EV.

24. Apologies, but I'm not planning to purchase the new Leica Visoflex. I haven't had the chance to try it out, and I generally prefer shooting with RF (rangefinder). Also, there aren't any new lenses that allow for close-up shots yet. So, I'll consider it for the future ^_^

People who choose to buy it must understand the brand and its value. Moreover, these cameras are not bought for collecting or showing off; they're meant to be used because the value of digital cameras depreciates over time. As for the depth of the matter, the 60 MP resolution of the M11 isn't the deciding factor. Instead, it's about the image character that the camera provides. The critical point lies in personal preference and whether the lens one uses fits well with the camera. Leica lenses are generally excellent, but each one has its own unique characteristics, which adds to its charm. For those who already own the Leica M (Typ 240) and are accustomed to its quirks, trying out the M11 might be a good idea. However, for those who aren't particular about the quirks of the M (Typ 240) but want to delve into the world of Leica, the M10 is currently very affordable, with various sub-models available, both limited and non-limited, making it the best value for money at the moment. As for those who have chosen to purchase the M11, make the most of it, immerse yourself in its beauty, and let its emotions enhance your photography experience. The feeling you get from taking photos with it is no less than with other models. And if a Limited edition version comes out in the future, see you then... Goodbye.
